Ani-One Asia announced on Wednesday that it will stream the eighth and final season of the My Hero Academia anime. The stream will debut on October 4 at 5:30 p.m. GMT +8 for Ani-One Asia ULTRA subscribers to its YouTube channel. The stream will be available in Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, Fiji, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, Maldives, the Marshall Islands, Mauritius, Micronesia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nauru, Nepal, Pakistan, Palau, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, Samoa, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, Timor-Leste, Tonga, Vanuatu, and Vietnam.

Ani-One Asia describes the anime:

Deku and the heroes face their final battle against Shigaraki and ALL FOR ONE. Fierce clashes erupt across Japan. The Todoroki family confronts their fate: Shoto, Endeavor, and Dabi collide. Ochaco and Toga's showdown reaches its conclusion. Deku, having fully unlocked ONE FOR ALL, faces a fully awakened Shigaraki—whose body was meant to be stolen, but whose mind now dominates. Meanwhile, the original ALL FOR ONE, restored to his prime, battles Armored All Might—quirkless but clad in power. Will Deku's journey to become the greatest hero reach its end—or collapse entirely?

The staff members are returning for the season, including chief director Kenji Nagasaki, director Naomi Nakayama, script supervisor Yōsuke Kuroda, character designers Yoshihiko Umakoshi and Hitomi Odashima, composer Yuki Hayashi, and studio BONES.

The anime's seventh season was announced after the sixth season ended in March 2023. A four-episode My Hero Academia Memories compilation special with some new scenes premiered in April 2024. The seventh season (starting with episode 139 of the overall anime) then debuted in May 2024. The anime again aired on YTV and NTV on Saturdays at 5:30 p.m. Ani-One Asia streamed the anime as it aired in Japan.

My Hero Academia: You're Next, the fourth anime film in the franchise, opened in Japan last August. The film screened in IMAX, MX4D, 4DX, and Dolby Cinema. Ani-One Asia's parent company Medialink Entertainment opened the film in various Southeast Asian territories in September to November.

Kōhei Horikoshi launched the manga series in Weekly Shonen Jump in July 2014, and ended it in August 2024. Shueisha's MANGA Plus service also published the manga in English digitally. The manga crossed 100 million copies in circulation worldwide in April 2024. The manga's 42nd and final compiled book volume shipped on December 4 and includes 38 pages of new content that take place after the original ending.

The television anime of Hideyuki Furuhashi and Betten Court's My Hero Academia: Vigilantes (Vigilante: Boku no Hero Academia Illegals) spinoff manga premiered on April 7. Ani-One Asia streamed the anime as it aired in Japan. The anime will get a second season in 2026.
