ADV FILMS ANNOUNCES OCTOBER 19 RELEASE DATES

HOUSTON, September 14, 2004—ADV Films, the #1 producer-distributor of anime in the U.S., today announced its October 19, 2004 street dates.

GET BACKERS: FIND THE FINE ARTS

ADV Films has set a street date of October 19, 2004 for the DVD release of Get Backers: Find the Fine Arts, the second exciting and comical volume in this action-packed series. Two continually broke guys who seem to always be down on their luck, Ginji Amano and Ban Midou have made it their calling to retrieve items that have been stolen or lost, for a price of course. Though they appear to be a normal duo, Ginji and Ban both have powers that allow them to take on impressive enemies. They'll dodge bullets, defeat supernatural enemies, even risk their own deaths, whatever it takes.

The Get Backers volumes are based on the hit manga by Rando Ayamine and Yuya Aoki as seen in Weekly Shōnen Magazine (Japanese). The high stakes action scenes were animated by Studio DEEN , who's brought fans popular films like King of Bandit Jing and Cowboy Bebop.

The Get Backers have proven themselves time and time again, so finding a rare violin should be a snap, right? Well, not if the violin's been taken by a young crime lord who's hired one of Ginji's old gang members to protect it AND has a pair of sibling assassins waiting in the wings. (And we won't even mention the Undead.) Next up: a mysterious art thief who's teamed up with Himiko to steal a priceless Van Gogh. As usual, things aren't quite what they seem on this job, but what're a couple of down on their luck recovery guys to do? Don't miss the mayhem as the Get Backers Find The Fine Arts!

Get Backers: Find the Fine Arts (SRP $29.98 DVD) is a DVD-only release, including five complete episodes in both English 5.1 and Japanese 2.0 language versions, with English subtitles.
