(The) Story of Saiunkoku Second Series (TV 2)

Seen all Rating Comment
Ah! My Goddess: The Movie Excellent
BECK: Mongolian Chop Squad (TV) Excellent Love the realism, the music, the love triangles, the MUSIC...Dub is excellent, though I'm not a fan of the F word, and this show has plenty...I dunno, I guess it comes with the musical territory?
Chobits (OAV) So-so I walked away from this series with a headache and a more pronounced love/hate relationship with Crispin Freeman's voice. I just found this series to be very confusing, with plots running all over the place and no definite ending; I don't miss this show one bit.
Cromartie High School (TV) Very good Who said that girls would not enjoy this show? I found it very hilarious and am only too happy to have it be a permanent part of my collection.
Eden's Bowy (TV) So-so I reeeeally wanted to love this show - it had everything going for it: great character design and music, and a unique storyline. Only, EB couldn't decide on its audience: should it lean towards little children, or be more sophisticated for the grownups? Its mistake was that it tried to please everyone, and of course, we know how that adage ends...
Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children (movie)
Fruits Basket (TV 1/2001) Masterpiece Truly a must-have in anyone's collection. I cry everytime I watch the last three episodes. One just invests so much emotion into it; it's also smart, funny, and makes you think.
Full Metal Panic! (TV) Very good
Fushigi Yugi (TV) Excellent
Gokudo (TV) Good My favorite anime, so why just the 'Good' rating? Well, it's not a Masterpiece by any means, but it's funny, crude, random, and the English dub is not too shabby.
Hetalia - Axis Powers (TV)
His and Her Circumstances (TV) Excellent Yes, we all know that the ending just...sucks. But even so, what we have here is a terrific blend of everything great about an anime: humor, romance, drama, relationships, and everyday slice-of-life events. I watch this show more than what is considered healthy. I have an addiction...
Inuyasha (TV) Good The first anime I ever watched, and for that, I have to swear my alliegiance to it. Overall, this is a good show: action, comedy, romance, etc., but it does have some filler arcs that I don't care for (7 Brothers, anyone?) and the animation is not very consistent, which kinda irks me. In some episodes, InuYasha looks hot, and others...ick. English dub is pretty good, Japanese is good as well.
K.O. Beast (OAV) Decent
Kekkaishi (TV) Good
Kigurumi Sentai Quiltian (OAV) Good
Kodocha (TV) Masterpiece If you were lucky enough to see all 102 episodes, then you know why the highest of ratings for this show! The animation is dated, but I honestly think that is the only flaw in this sentimental show. Yes, it's crazy fast and Sana's mach-speed attitude may prove distracting (or just plain annoying) but that's why we have Akito - to help balance her out. It's cute, sweet, romantic, moving, witty, and some deeper themes also arise in this show (adoption, abuse, divorce, etc.) I think the English dub is spot on - John Burgmeier writes great adaptations. I will NEVER let this show leave my collection!
Midori Days (TV) Excellent So...where to begin? I think what won me over about this show is the idea that it could have taken itself in a very dirty direction, but astoundingly, it doesn't. There are hardly any crude jokes about Seiji and Midori's odd circumstance (the only crudeness would be Seiji's bouts of self-gratification rituals...*heheh* ...which are only implied, never shown). Seiji and Midori are very sweet towards each other, though Midori sometimes irks Seiji, with her willingness in trying to help him out in various situations. There are some bits of nudity with Midori, though it's not sexual. Overall, a very cute and funny series. Also for a bit of added goodness, the English dub included outtakes, which are hilarious.
My Bride is a Mermaid (TV)
Neo Ranga (TV)
Orphen (TV)
Ouran High School Host Club (TV) Excellent I have only seen the dub of this show, and it's hit or miss. I can't rave enough about J. Michael Tatum's rendition of Kyouya and Caitlyn Glass's Haruhi. Vic's Tamaki is hit-or-miss; some dialouge, he is simply great, other times he's grating to listen to. The show is very colorful and well animated. Overall, a very cute show with an interesting storyline. Funny, moving, and just enjoyable.
Prétear (TV) Very good
Princess Mononoke (movie) Good
Princess Tutu (TV)
Rune Soldier (TV) Very good
Rurouni Kenshin (TV 1996)
Samurai Champloo (TV)
School Rumble (TV) Very good One of the best dubs out there - Brandon Potter and Chris Cason are simply the best in this show and how they portray their characters. Hanai is one of my favorite anime characters because Chris did such a phenomenal job. This is literally a L-O-L show! Rewatch value is extremely high. This will never leave my collection.
School Rumble: 2nd Semester (TV)
Scrapped Princess (TV) Very good Crisp animation, great music, and wonderful characters - Shannon is my favorite bishie! Would be perfect, if not for the rushed ending. However, I think the show ends on a good note - I just wanted more.
(The) Slayers (TV)
Spirited Away (movie) Masterpiece
Sword of the Stranger (movie)
Tenjho Tenge: Ultimate Fight (OAV)
Tokyo Majin (TV) Very good Severely underrated - equally good in dub/sub (though Vic Mignogna's Tendou is just AWFUL). Music is graciously provided by J-Rock band, ACID, who is now a favorite of mine. Good fight scenes, pretty consistent animation, and chuck full of underlying themes/emotion/struggles. At least see it once!
Trigun (TV)
(The) Twelve Kingdoms (TV)
(The) Vision of Escaflowne (TV)
Witch Hunter Robin (TV) Very good
Yu Yu Hakusho: Ghost Files (TV) Excellent
