Boring. Likely to drop this next episode. Feels like I've already watched this kind of setting one thousand times. But that's not really the issue, it just lacks any value since nothing in it seems to go above average. Perhaps if more ecchi?

Who knew you could make kissing so awesome in an anime.
Atleast now we know why Erica kissed him in the first episode. Now if only we know why she turned a 180 on her opinion of him. |

Episode 4
spoiler[Athena really was serious about her quest, but so was Mariya. Kusanagi & Erica thing keeps stretching through this episode as well.. Isn't it about time to accept her or reject her? Liliana & Mariya together were no match for Athena. After Kusanagi joined the fight against the fully loaded Athena things became interesting. First he gave her lecture about her origins and then they fought with Greek mythology and some actual weapons. What can I say... she went down, but that was expected. The unexpected part were all those historical facts.] |

I kinda like how he defeats his enemies...with the power of knowledge!!!!!!!
And unlike scrubs like us who goes to school to learn things, he just french kisses some blonde chick for an extended period of time to learn everything he needs. Also, the animators put loving detail to every kiss. |

Episode 5
Well, it looks like Erica's got a new rival although she is somewhat tolerable of it but still jealous. Pretty meh episode overall although the ending seems to get a new story going. Also, there is a new campione introduced this episode and I'm curious what kind of role he may play. |

Mariya's dream was pretty interesting. Seems like Erica kinda enjoys making Mariya jealous while being all over Godou.]] Lucky Godou has 2 girls who really like him. spoiler[That baseball game was pretty intense, but it just proves how fired up those 2 are. Mariya really kinda is an airhead sometimes..] An interesting new character makes an appearance. Episode 6 spoiler[Mariya's kidnapping was just bad. Guess she was pretty important to that weird old geezer. This time it's the god of death. That's always a bad thing. Erica & Godou had some interesting opponents this time. Playing a game with Duke Voban... a very risky thing. Interesting episode and opponent.] Episode 7 So this time we get the info about the abundance of kisses from Erica ^^ It's an interesting fact too. spoiler[Erica vs Liliana.] That was a pretty nice fight. spoiler[Kusanagi vs old guy.] A double fight feature, not bad for one episode. Lots of action in every form too LOL spoiler[That old guy was totally not to be underestimated. Lucky Kusanagi with 4 against 1 odds. Even with those they were saved by the sunrise..] |

Episode 7
If there is one thing this show does well, it would have to be the music, it was used exceptionally well in the fight between spoiler[Godou and the old guy. They manage to make the parts where he uses the sword's power] to be quite exciting. That one tune they use for comic relief is bugging me as it seems so nostalgic of something, but I can not quite pick from what, probably reminds me of Aladdin. The show should be so campy, but they manage to do a good enough job that it is fun to watch. |

And here I thought they just got lucky in previous episode.
But so far the anime actually does a pretty good job at making those scenes with Kusanagi defeats his foes with his UBW rip-off as something to look forward to. It's actually quite epic and enjoyable to watch even if he's literally just spoiler[destroying his enemies with the power of knowledge.] |

Summer fun episode, well, partly anyway. Looks like it's time to relax.. spoiler[Godou & Erica have a chance deepen their relationship. Although it seems like it was pretty one sided. Well, the quite time ended fast since the enemy never sleeps. That Athena sure dropped him in the middle of trouble. It was a nice fight though it was obvious that blond guy is not a pushover. That cost Godou.] |

What adventures await our God-Slaying King? spoiler[Nay, there be no adventures ahead. It is the infamous beach episode, well known among those who view Japanese animation. Before our eyes lays glory in the form of voluptuous women dressed in fine bathing suits and the possibility of them being nude. Such beauty must be showcased. However, this was a beautiful lie all along. We've reached an action-filled episode but at what cost? Our promised beach episode was a deception all along. Our hopes have been crushed only to develop an episode in which men fight amongst each other. The animators have forsaken us. They've turn their back on us. All I sought were fair maidens in beach gear yet I only received a subtle taste of the promised eye candy. I came not to watch men fight but for gorgeous wenches. The change in subject causes anguish within me. I am furious but more heartbroken about this matter.] Today shall be remembered as a sad Friday afternoon for me. |
