It's great that you have no problem with Aniplex's prices, but you are not everyone.

Not being able and/or willing to spend that kind of cash on one item of entertainment does not mean someone is having money issues. It just means they don't have all the money in the world to spend. Hell, even if I did, I don't think I'd spend that much on ONE series. Jeebus.

?

When did I say anything about Aniplex prices? I stated that if you cannot afford to spend the afformentioned sum of money on anime over a 9-month long period you probably have other things to worry about than watching anime dubs. I stated this in reply to penguintruth.

If you're interested in yet another "aniplex are too expensive"-discussion then feel free to drop me a PM, but I can't guarantee that i'll be interested in replying to it.

Awesome and very welcome…but how are they going to handle THAT episode spoiler[(hint: the one in the teens)], plus some of the content after that—and at that early a time slot, no less? I guess standard cable (and network) TV standards really are softening, thanks to the success of the more "bold" premium channel shows. If it weren't for Sentai having the license, I would half-expect CROSS ANGE to be a shoe-in for a future date (honestly, it's not *that* far off from what you would see on a premium channel show…). Very good. I'm glad the anime is getting exposure to a much larger audience.

I'm not really worried about Kill la Kill's content, considering years before this they ran Blue Gender, an anime with actual orgies and explicit nudity, during a much more prudent S&P time where the word "Jesus" was bleeped and TV-MA was completely off-limit. I think Toonami can handle placing the blur effect a few times over a naughty part or two.

Time to reinforce the idea that anime is just porn.

Not surprised, but not excited.

Sure, start a stupid off topic argument about Aniplex's prices in a really innapropriate place. I'm sure Aniplex will see the error of their ways and stop using their tried and tested methods if you keep doing it.

spoiler[While we're on the topic I personally find packaging a series with nothing but textless songs, a shoddy rushed dub and ugly oversized piss yellow subtitles in an age where you can get all that stuff off the Internet for free (Often times in better quality) but still making you pay at least double what it would cost to buy any other TV show is a far more 'outdated' practice. But hey, different strokes for different folks.]

Back on topic, this is great news. The dub of KLK is absolutely amazing and probably the best I've heard since... well, Aniplex's Fate/Zero dub. Maybe if it catches on it'll come to Aussie airwaves and people will shut up about Attack on Titan for a little while. As much as I love the show, it doesn't make me happy seeing other more recent and just plain better shows being eclipsed by it nearly two years after the show has finished airing and at least a full year before Season 2.

I'm sorry your comment is so funny; I love it lol.

I'm so happy they got KLK. I just finished the series a month ago and wanted to watch the English dub. The beginning is good, the middle is 'meh', but the last part is SO GOOD so I can't wait to watch again.

Are they getting rid of something or adding onto the lineup?

Considering everyone who's been keeping tabs on Toonami knew it was one of the most requested shows for the past year and that there were murmurings they were going to air it as far back as when Blue Exorcist was wrapping up its run (they ended up going with Gurren Lagann at that time instead), it was inevitable.

On another note, here's the Toonami promo that was shown at the panel:

Replacing AoT once it finishes

No it's not, AoT won't finish its current run until April or May. This is premiering February 7th

It's more than likely either bumping off Space Dandy or Samurai Jack, as those are the only two things close to a point where they could take them off. AoT will probably move to a later slot.
