One can dream for SEGA to re-release Shining Force III Part 1 for this generation..either as a XBLA and/or PSN title and translate Part 2 and 3. Shining Force III is still one of my top SRPGs ever.

Too bad Camelot hasn't produced anything really in the same vein as Shining Force ever since leaving SEGA (they seem pretty content making golf games).

The GBA remake of the first game added a few characters (in particular Princess Narshe) and updated all the character designs to make them better looking. They also made it possible to upgrade the two secret characters.

Todd I am very sadface that you did not use the release of Xenoblade as an opportunity to mention the resuscitation of Xenogears: A Rope of Robots.

The newest one, Shining Blade, is made by the Valkyria Chronicles team IIRC.

Except that Blade is using a modified version of Valkyria's Blitz system. Hence it's a SRPG. The only downside I found for now is that it's really easy - that undermines some of the mechanics they've put in.

Yes and no. It was done by Media Vision of Wild ARMs fame. They worked on Valkyria 3 as well.

While I feel that Ruin Explorers is still unfairly overlooked for game adaptations, there's no denying that One Piece is better suited to a title where you pound hordes of enemies senseless on a battlefield.

Ah, yes, I remember Ruin Explorers. A quirky little PlayStation RPG, where, in the early game, if you weren't careful, you could find yourself stuck, running out of de-mousification pills.
spoiler[Would have been cute.]

That implies that what you posted was fun, or funny.

It was neither.
