If you're running Vista now, then Windows 7 is 100% compatible and runs a lot better. Even the Beta version was more stable than Vista.

It seems alot of people believe they need Windows 7 to use the event sounds and wallpaper mentioned in the article.

This is untrue. Custom event sounds have been around for along time (I can remember them as far as back as Win 98).

Although I do plan to upgrade to Windows 7 (Mostly because of the problems with using Win XP 32 bit on the new PC I just built, and the internal coding error contained which doesn't allow the complete 4 GB of ram to be accessed), I wouldn't do it just for a event sound pack and a custom wallpaper.

This will hit the internet on day one, I believe.

IMHO, there just isn't enough OS-Tan characters for Mac ! Laughing

But this idea for Windows 7 is quite cool ! I might get one of those,
if Win 7 turns out to be good enough...

If they did this in the U.S. they'd probably get someone like Britney Spears. *shudder*

If they went high class and got Catherine Zeta-Jones, I'd be all for it. Smile

As much as I hate Hinata, this is an interesting thing. Now Mizuki fans will be able to hear her voice for X amount of times.

I wonder if Apple will try something similar as well.

Oh well, I'm not going to pay a pile of money for an Operating System I'm not going to use. Windows never made it easy to do my work.
Not like themes are anything new, if I wasn't conservative in what I put on my desktop I probably would have already had something on mine.
