Ho boy. Not sure how I feel about that, but I can't help thinking the character designs are super cute. Anyone know if the character designer for this anime is the same as //Link? |

Always enjoyed .hack (though I still have GU in my backlog
 ) but I do wish they would come up with some new character designs. It's a bit pathetic to see the same character reused so much. At least with the Sign and the first game quartet it might make some sense from a gaming perspective to have pallet swapped characters and all, but at this point I think the gaming industry has moved past that and there really isn't a reason other than laziness or a quick cash-in that they couldn't come up with yet another Blackrose.

.hack games in general don't score very well, but that hasn't stopped me from enjoying every one of them. I'm still anxiously awaiting an English release for Link.
Actually, this would be the fourth "character model" of Blackrose. Allow me to prove my geekiness: Blackrose x4- original .hack games, .hack//Twilight (Rena), .hack//Link, .hack//Quantum (Mary) Kite x7- original .hack games x2 (pre and post bracelet), .hack//Twilight x2 (Shugo and Kite himself in the manga looking like Azure Kite), .hack//G.U. (Azure Kite), .hack//Link, .hack//Quantum (Sakuya) Balmung x5- .hack//AI Buster (pre One Sin/wings), .hack//Sign & games, .hack//G.U. (Azure Balmung), .hack//Link, .hack//Quantum (Tobias) I don't think I missed any major variations... Emerje |
