I think people in general that are that self-conscious on what they where will never get anywhere in life.

While it's true 80 or so dollars is expensive, that is the cost of regular hawaiian shirts. The price isn't really jacked up.

Your roommate has no idea how easy it really is, then. I wouldn't wear these personally, btw, but they aren't going to stop someone from "getting laid."

I thoroughly enjoy watching K-ON!, I'm a big fan, but there is just something wrong with any adults, especially males, wearing a shirt that is covered with teen girls in bikinis in public. But that's just me. Confused

Although I mean no disrespect to anyone who likes or owns those shirts, I'd say your roommate is about right. For the most part.

I have a very grey Bleach shirt that for a while I was unsure to wear outside (it just states Bleach and has a picture of Ichigo.) But now that it's somewhat faded, your average person will probably think it's just a grey shirt.

Since the store I bought that shirt at went out of business (it was having a giant clearance sale) it was either that shirt, a Bleach shirt with a skull on it or a very bright Naruto shirt. Now I understand the skulls in Bleach (as does anyone who watches the show) but I know others probably don't and I don't want any trouble or any problems.

The Naruto shirt was fine, but could easily be a people repellant and that is not the image I am going for.

But yeah, there is a chance those shirts could easily act as a repellant towards non anime fans (okay, mostly women I am guessing.) For the most part, I keep my anime hobby to my self and usually blend in with the crowd. Then again, that isn't always the case, which is fine with me.
