If it can make 10k like the first season did then that's already better than nearly every other non-A Certain/Toaru JC Staff series.

It shouldn't be strange, though. While EX added in new scenes and some erotic scenes into the normal story, the three new characters' stories are only unlocked after you beat Refrain (for good reason), so the anime's order is perfectly fine.

Someone speculated that the new season will consist of Refrain and EX together, one-cour each. Are all the remaining routes in the Refrain season can even be covered in just one-cour and are all the EX routes long enough to get one-cour?

I also hope Kud Wafter gets animated too and if it does then Kud is the end heroine in the anime.

I'd say that Kurugaya and Refrain could fit inside one cour. However I think it's more likely to get an uneven split of something like 16 episodes for Refrain, 8 for EX, or something like that.

Yay yay yay yay!! I've heard really good things about the extra stories in EX, I'm happy they're getting animated! Saya's story sounds great!!

They'll obviously erase the bulk of the H content, as what was done for Air/Kanon and in general most VN adaptations. So the LDP won't even care. Ecstasy has an all-ages version that has been ported to multiple consoles after all.

I'm thinking maybe 13 episode for Refrain may be enough. But it would depend on the pacing. I too wonder if EX will be 1 cour right after Refrain. It would be better for viewing purposes but i guess we will wait and see.

KyoAni doesn't seem to be that willing to do KEY visual novels at the moment, but that doesn't mean their only option left is J.C. Staff. Assuming they get a better director, I'd be interested in watching ReWrite by A-1 Pictures.

2nd opening of... Little Busters!...? To be perfectly honest, I played the entire EX visual novel, but was only able to get through Komari's arc in the anime, since it didn't really impress me, animation-wise, so I never got to see a 2nd opening...
