Well, she was not one of the super mega famous ones among the fanartists in Germany, but still, she was (is) quite well-known in the fanart scene. She did illustrations for Connichi, German's biggest Anime event, and for Animexx, the anime community. And I bet you know both if you are German Maybe you have even seen some of her work unconsciously. |

Man kommt wohl nicht umhin, von Animexx gehört zu haben
Nah, I'm not that much into the fanart scene. Or the manga art scene, actually... I was just surprised that no-one ever mentioned it on the official German publishers board (or, more likely, I just never saw it). While we do have quite some OELs, getting publishes in Japan is such a huge step - I'm very happy for her =) |

It probably hasn't been mentioned by our German publishers because different from e.g. Christina Plaka or Judith Park (both of who have works that have been translated to other languages, afaik including Japanese), Carolin Eckhardt has never really published for them. She just went to Japan, studied there, published there. BTW, ANN, you misspelled the main character's name. It's Takashi, not Takayuki. It can be easily misread because the Kanji for "shi" is quite obscure. See artist's facebook page, too. |
