Prison School needs an anime and I'm glad we are finally getting one. This is certainly borderline hentai stuff but in a very good way and it works gloriously. I'm sure this will turn out much better than say stuff like To Love Ru or Seikon no Qwaser.

Oh I really hope it'd be better than Qwaser. I loved that but I feel like they messed up the anime despite the fact it has one of the best animations for a borderline-hentai series.

But yeah I hope this is a TV anime... Crossing my fingers.

You know I have to disagree with calling it "boderline hentai". It's the same kind of hyperbole from folks who think tits = porn. If you look at it objectively, there's nothing even close to hentai here. Lots of very sexy scenes, but no sex. The seinen romance mangas depicting sex scenes with blanked-out or obscured genital areas would be considered borderline. In fact, there is actually very little nudity overall in Prison School.

This manga has a similar feel to GTO, so hopefully the anime will turn out similar to that.

Could you elaborate please.

Mega fan of the series here. This worries me.

Its not high art but NOT just some Tomcats/Van Wilder like sexjoke barrage either.

Author has great sense of drama and suspense all the while having this dead pan absurdist comedy backdrop (realistic art helps this).

Its hard to describe for people who arent far into it but there is a lot smarter "method to the madness" here if you look past all the Meiko ass shots (trust me i know... .ITS HARD Wink

This show will live and die by the director who understands the distict genre busting blend of deadpan absurdist sex comedy and rousing prison suspense thriller.

You're right. It's just people think boobs are sexual objects so having to show so much in a short amount of time probably constitutes as hentai with no actual sex scenes - therefore it's labeled as "bordeline-hentai."

Unlike the chairman I prefer boobs and there's nothing sexual about them!

A few of us were asking kodansha to pick this up but you just get a "no flesh please, we're american" reply. All i can say to that is thank the gods for scan sites, id hate to have my intake dictated by prudes.
