My condolences to her loved ones. While I haven't seen the titles that she listed under on her ANN Encyclopedia entry, I recognize that such a talent has passed away.

Damn, this is some sad news. I really do love the themes from SAC.
Really bad news, this. |

Likewise, my condolences to her family and friends. I'm gonna have to go play "Inner Universe".

Origa and Yoko Kanno's "Inner Universe" has over 10 million views on YouTube, and that's not counting millions of views the same song and others she's done has gotten. Us anime fans aren't the only ones that listened to her awesome music.
R.I.P. Origa Here's a couple songs from Final Fantasy XIII-2 she did: New Bodhum http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YPEzumonJv4 Historia Crux http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FWHJRNT8gcs I almost teared up listening to these. |

Inner Universe is one of my all time favorite themes and I can't imagine any other voice that could've been as good as hers on that song. Thank you for the beautiful music and RIP.

The fact that she was performing in the US just months ago makes this all the more tragic. Having seen Richard Kiel at a convention in Sydney just 3 months before his untimely death, I think I sort of understand how people who were able to see Origa perform back in August might react.
But I probably shouldn't think too deeply about it. While death is never a nice thing (Especially when it's premature), it does present a good opportunity to look back and really appreciate a person's work. RIP Origa. I think it goes without saying, but you will be missed. |

Although I unfortunately didn't see the full concert, I'll never forget her passionate performance of Inner Universe at the Anime Boston 2013 opening ceremonies. It doesn't feel like that was nearly two years ago.
This is too tragic. |

I'm... I'm in the shock. She was so young, and her last works with Ar nosurge taken for the soul. And... this news... It's so cruel.

Oh my goodness! I loved her songs from GITS. "Inner Universe" and "Rise" were my favorites. She will be greatly missed.
RIP Origa. |
