I've only seen a few episodes of the original Star Trek but I'm more familiar with his voice acting roles growing up.
The Pagemaster (Dr. Jeckell), Atlantis the Lost Empire (he played the King of Atlantis), Kingdom Hearts, and of course the Simpsons cameo were the times I've heard his voice. He lived a long life but it has sadly ended. Truly an amazing person who will be missed by Star Trek fans and many more. |

Rest in peace. I've never seen Star Trek, but I know his work from Kingdom Hearts.

I...I don't even know what to say. This man, he was my hero. I'm heartbroken. I just can't believe it. Leonard Nimoy will always hold a special place in my heart. Rest in Peace.

You don't need to know him to send him a nice farewell and to wish his family and friends God's speed. That's a nice thing to do for anyone who's died. I don't know why you're even posting here. Your comment adds nothing to the conversation. Truthfully it's weird to me. Moving on: It's such a strange thing that both the Japanese and English voice actors of Xehanort died a month apart from each other. Incredibly sad and the game will surely have a void in it because of these two. I hope they give them tribute when the 3rd game is released (I think they paid tribute to the last voice actor of Mickey Mouse before so it shouldn't be a problem). HATE Star Trek, but loved him as Galvatron. Much better than Frank Welker's version.

I'm literally in tears over this. watching reruns of Star Trek with my mom (who passed away 4 years ago) as a kid is a big part of why I got so interested in science fiction, watching reruns of In Search Of (which he narrated) as a kid was part of what got me so interested in the unexplained. I grew up watching stuff he did, that stuff helped shape who I am, it's part of what made my relationship with my mom such a close one. it feels like part of my family died.

Not a big Star Trek fan, but from what I have watched...I always enjoyed Spock's scenes.
Knowing big Star Trek fans, it is so clear how much love they have for the character Nimoy played. He will be missed by many. |
