Nobody will watch this movie anyway. Why did people actually watch Dragonball Evolution back then?

Because it was something that wasn't done before in the U.S and we had hoped it would be good but we were so wrong!.......

Well, at least they cast someone who looks like he could be in high school. And we basically know now that he won't be called Light or "Raito Yagami".
I'll be cautiously optismistic about this. Hope they cast someone great as "L" or whatever they end up calling him.

It was always for real. It's just been in development hell for years. Guess it finally crawled out.

I won't watch this in the theater, but I will watch it when it hits cable.
Whether I pay for OnDemand, or wait until it is on Epix will depend on the reviews.

I hope for a day when live action anime movies are on the same level as today's comic movies. But I think we have another 20 years until that happens.

I have faith and excited for this movie only because Adam Wingard is the best director for this job. His movie The Guest is great and You're Next is genius. He alone can make this movie great.

Please for the love of God don't see this in theaters. Not even ironically. Anime/manga movie adaptions can't be profitable if we want them out of Hollywood.

If it happens to be good, then watch it in the theaters. There will be plenty of time to read the reviews and then decide whether you want the experience to be in the theater or on TV.

I would argue that even if by some miracle it isn't a complete trainwreck, we shouldn't watch it if supporting it has the potential to bring about more adaptions from manga and anime.
