Congratulations to the film of GuP for its earnings reaching the tens of millions! Smile Aside from K-ON, Madoka Magica, and Love Live, there are many anime movies out there that wished they made that much money.

Day by day comparison between the GaruPan Movie and the big 3 of late-night TV Anime adaptations (Love Live, Madoka and K-ON). Based on the current trend, it may have a chance of surpassing K-ON, if it has time to do so.

Love Live! ended at 2.86 billion yen after 202 days (after 29 weekends + final 4 weekdays) of showing at theaters:

Madoka ended at 2.08 billion yen after 14 weekends (93 days):

K-ON! ended at 1.9 billion yen after approximately 149 days (22 weekends):

That is the only thing that intrigues me, how they dealt with the tank knowledge.

Also, Girls und Panzer is a slice of life series of the cute-girls-doing-cute-things type. Sort of like K-On!, but with war machines instead of musical instruments.

I enjoyed K-On, but not enough to watch it more than once. I dont mind unrealistic anime, hell I liked Kancolle a lot since it was beyond absurd that I didn't care. But this... may be I've read too much about WWII and tanks that this kind of setting annoys me xD.
