At least the underwear are nowhere near as bad as those Nanoha boxers I remember seeing somewhere

Did they have active Intelligent Devices at the crotch area?

Ok... There are many ways otaku would portray his/her ownership of these merchandise(s)

Option 1: Keep it as a display item in the display room. (Unopened/frame it etc) ~ Less creepy
Option 2: Wear it normally around your house
Option 3: Wear it without washing it for months ~ Creepy
Option 4: Wear it until it's soiled (God forbid what he/she had done with it) and up it on display in the display room ~ Extremely creepy and needs medical attention

Just out of curiosity, but which side of your creepy scale would it fall on if they wanted to get them signed by VAs before framing? For the sake of the question, presume they are otherwise pristine, and not already at step 4.

Any real fan would buy at least two of any usable merchandise--One to use and one to store.

Varies.

Example:

Option 1: He/she can either frame it for barging rights or escalate to option 3 to 4 and consider the REAL seiyuu had signed it personally, they might develop a fetish towards the item(s).

Option 3/4: The security guard might intervene he/she manage to the autograph.

Option 2: He/she might fall to Option 1.

And, nght5tlkr, this scale might apply towards those tight-budget fan.

No, they'd buy three. One to use, one to store, and one to spread the gospel.

Definitely reminds me of Konata there.
To be honest the only reason I wouldn't get them is because they are 'boxer briefs' if we go boxer shorts i'm fine with that. Really, I would have no problem at all. Especially having a set of those 5 pairs of socks.

But to all out there, you would be suprised at the girls I know who would get a kick out of knowing you're wearing these. Option 1 & 2 would be perfectly alright by my and their standards.

Which was why I said "at least two". I tend to buy more than that though Wink

These won't sell very well as they don't have the sizes to fit the actual otaku who would buy these to actually wear. Like XL, XXL and XXXL. No need to worry about showing these to the neighbours either as they will never be washed and hung outside. Yet another reason to love Japanese culture. Laughing

I haven't seen too many "large" Japanese anime fans. Perhaps you were thinking this was available to those in the States? Laughing

Despite the fact ANN just showed a poll where 1/4th of Japan admitted to being an Otaku, people still love to say otaku are all fat, child molesting pedophiles who never met a member of the opposite sex or have any friends. Those are usually the people you should ignore since they're either ignorant and going off what they heard on the internet, or purposely trying to troll.

Have to agree with you there. The people I converse with online and friend through conventions and campus life don't fit that stereotype at all. Probably helps when 8% of the campus makeup here is Japanese in origin.

So you and TitanXL would wear these with pride then? Wink
I can easily imagine these being a big export item for the world K-on fandom. It would surely make a different Christmas stocking stuffer for some.
