I appreciate that Nightfall likes family man Loid despite thinking it's degrading his edge as a knife. Now if only she were the wife...
Ah yes, when world peace hinges on an underground tennis tournament complete with the most anime things possible. And Nightfall in a luxurious blonde wig she loves showing off. I'm sure practicing Tennis with Yor prepared Loid for practically anything...since he survived it. Fiona simping hard for Twilight, down to getting a little over-eager during their tennis match and wanting to change his diapers... Yor considering murdering a love rival is the least surprising thing. |

Just for the record, I am not shipping Scruffy and Nightfall, they ending as a couple is just a logical deduction based on common tropes.

I appreciate the lampshading of the underground tennis tournament here

Holy Heck, Aim for the Ace is OLD (1973). Now Loid's '70's hairstyle this Ep makes perfect sense, thanks Ms. Silverman!

I can't believe their dragging this tennis tournament arc even longer, it feel like there's not enough content to justify one episode, let alone two...
Nighfall shtick is already getting old too after two episodes, what a strange arc. |

Prince of Tennis isn't insane enough for you? Tsunami vs fire tornadoes and the extinction of the dinosaurs seemed pretty insane to me. |

How about more insane tennis shows to go along with all of the baseball and basketball shows? |

I'm starting to think both Yuri and Nightfall were created by Rumiko Takahashi as they are pretty much one gag characters with the sole purpose of expanding the love interests. At least they aren't that annoying as the ones from Ranma and Inuyasha,

Having watched Yor versus Nightfall's little tennis match, I now know exactly what tennis in Dragon Ball would have been like.
Enjoyed it a lot. |

The Yor v. Nightfall post-match match was more fun than the match itself, IMO. The rival lover thing is a bit trite, but I'd much rather watch two characters go at it over emotional stakes (and misunderstandings) I care about than a long-form gag about a painting cypher. Not that the main tennis match was terrible, just not the magic I love most about Spy x Family.

This was the best tennis episode of a non-tennis anime I have ever seen.
And it wouldn't be complete without Yor vs Nightfall. Poor Fiona. |

Impressive animation during the tennis match, combined with some hilarious shenanigans both during and outside of the mission to get the painting. To me, the series lost some steam in the second season, but I absolutely loved this week's episode.

Um, excuse you, Fiona is cute, and I wish her utterly doomed heroine self the best. The next episode or so should have a favorite moment of mine. Good luck with your arm.

Probably my favorite episode of the 2nd cour so far. Animation was super clean all the way throughout, Fiona's antics continue to be amusing to watch, and Yor being a superhuman will never get old.
Also, this is something that's already obvious, but still needs to be said: Yor with her hair down is a blessing to the eyes. |

Everyone knows Fiona sucks; its watching her suck that's the fun part.
