But who knows, maybe there are such shows, we just don't see any of them.
Sadly, the world of Tiger and Bunny is not fleshed out, and I doubt it will be. So we can only question what the rest of the world is like; are there heroes in other places in the world, or do they only exist in this mystery city? We haven't really even been shown that there is anything outside of this mystery city, which is frustrating. In the same timespan as these 3 episodes, The Incredibles addressed these issues and had spun a narrative with more depth.

Maybe that's because the Incredibles is a movie that had only an hour and a half to tell it's story so it had to have it's narrative last that long and this is a 24-26 episode series that can span this out a little more.

Also, I don't think Tiger knew that she was Blue Rose either. But I think she did, cause, it's freaking obvious

But it did so largely via heavy-handed exposition, I don't mind when a show parcels info out over the series. Besides which we don't need to know any of that stuff. You just seem determinedly negative about this show for some reason, like you absolutely must hate it, at any cost.

Another good episode. Really enjoying the focus on character development. I really don't care much about the world it takes place

I'm really pleased that they're starting to move the focus onto introducing the side characters now. Just focusing on Kotetsu and Barnaby was starting to bore me just a little.

I can understand the complaints about not fleshing the world out, but I feel we're getting fed little snippits in most episodes. Views on heroes in episode 4, that there is a phenomenon causing their powers (still unexplained as it may be) in episode 2, how the Hero TV interplays with it to an extent (episode 3), etc. They're all little pieces of the puzzle that will hopefully develop a cohesive picture over the course of the series. And even if they don't, I'm enjoying the series as just a set of fun episodes with buddy cop tropes, elements of American super hero shows, pokes at commercialism, etc.

Is it just me, or does Barnaby look like he stepped out a of a 70s shoujo manga? He could totally be a dancer from Swan or a character from From Eroica with Love.

Just watched episode 5. The episode was actually funnier than I thought it would be. We have now officially established that Kotetsu is forever the butt monkey of this universe. As faras the birthday party thing, it was kind of funny to see how much they actually planned out the "robbery" and it was sort of funny and nice at the same time to see that while their new feature supposedly does nothing, Tiger and Barnaby have slowly gotten better as a team. Supervillain had an interesting power but was way too cocky for his own good. I also got a good laugh out of the episode's ending. Poor Rock Bison...

Also it looks like we're headed into main plot territory next episode. Guess we're finally gonna learn about the Ouroboros. Looks like one of them has Flame Emblem;s powers if he;s getting framed for murder.

I just watched ep 4, the art was dreadfully inconsistent. Several scenes, like the one in the training room, were hideous, like bare minimal standards of staying on model. Why can't they maintain a decent standard of quality?

While Tiger and Bunny 5 was mostly a fun episode, it's still keeping up the high quality with some really funny scenes. I really like how they showed the super heroes interacting and I wonder when we are going to see Dragon Kid doing this.

The ending where Rock Bison is arrested for having the bunny was a really good ending as well.

We also get our first real super villain so we should be seeing more evil next from now on.

Another good episode. I have to say that this series has it all, humor, decent characters, and, so far, a cool storyline. I like that we finally see how they get their suits on (this has bugged me). As far as the city goes, and details about it, I figure that these will be revealed in due time. Although, I cannot say that I really care much about that. For me, the show is more about the heros and how they are being fleshed out (or not).

"‘Tiger & Bunny’ Japanese Blu-ray Gets English Subtitles": http://www.fandompost.com/2011/04/30/tiger-bunny-japanese-blu-ray-gets-english-subtitles/

This is something I'd like to see a lot more of in the future.

5 was a good one Smile I thought ep 4 was a little boring (and more predictable than usual) and ep 5 brought us back where we belong: with Kotetsu.
I gotta know though-- we haven't seen Origami Cyclone in two episodes ._o Where is he?! Wait, have we not seen Dragon Kid in as long? I don't remember now.

Anyway, I think a lot of us were expecting a deconstruction of the super hero genre. Maybe it's not. Maybe it's just playing things straight Laughing In that case, we should just enjoy it for what it is and not hold our breath waiting for the big unraveling.

Dragon Kid showed up in ep. 4, I think, because I remember thinking that it'd been a while since we've seen her.

Enjoyed the episode. Loved the power ups, and thought that the suit designer shouting with the mic when normally you can't hear him hardly at all was great.

So far this is the only show I'm keeping up with regularly this season, although I think I'd like to try out C as well.

I think you're right about Dragon Kid. Maybe she and Origami Cyclone are in school or something... though that doesn't explain why Blue Rose is running around on a school night xD

Every single character doesn't have to be in every single episode and it would feel schizophrenic if it did. Just wait for the series to do an episode that focuses on your favourite character.
