At the very least, Lucien Dodge, Erika Harlacher, Kaiji Tang, Sean Chiplock, and Erin Fitzgerald (and, by extension, Amanda Miller) had all been confirmed long before the game actually came out. Erin also openly expressed interest in working on the anime.

This would also require that they be made aware of that existing or ongoing dub before starting their own process. When they come in after the fact, it is easy, but without someone contacting them directly about it, it isn't so easy with something they were working on at nearly the same time as another company. A casual twitter post by actors they've never worked with previously is likely to go unnoticed.

Didn't like half the cast for this. I mean, I LIKE them....just not in these roles. Sounded awkward.

OH MY GOOOOOD. Thanks Funimation! I just wanted Crispin Freeman back again as Kyon, but they brought back the cast of one of my favorite anime ever! And just like many other guys in the forum, I hope that Johnny Yong Bosch returns as well for Itsuki.
Very Happy

If they didn't get Crispin Freeman back, J. Michael Tatum could have done it since he sounds pretty close to him.

Sure, they're too cheap to get the cast of "Danganronpa" back, but they'll get the cast for this back.

To be fair with DAnganropa they had already eunited the casts for Neptunia and BlazBlue, it's possible to save on budget they did the Danganropa in house.

Also they probably wanted to do one themselves so they chose two for bringing people in and left one for inside

Fantastic! I haven't been watching Nagato Yuki-chan, but I'll definitely check it out with its English dub!

I honestly did not expect Funimation to get the original cast of TMoHS back for this show. Surprised Now I'm really looking forward to watching Yuki-chan with sheer excitement.

This is great news.

My guess is they're just going to record at Todd Haberkorn's home studio that they mentioned in the Fairy Tail commentary. Doesn't make sense to fly them all in to Texas.

hm, this is interesting... freakin awesome but I wonder how Funimation is Dubbing this. I mean most of the cast lives in LA, funimation must really be sparing no expense.

Man, and people were talking mad shit about Funimation not getting the cast back before the announcement. I wouldn't have cared either way, but it sure is funny now.

Too bad I'll never get that Sailor Moon reduce with Terri Hawkes, though.
