Wow. Great news! I never really expected it to get animated. But like usual, Shield Bro just defies expectations.

Since production is only announced now (mid 2017), I estimate it'll air around 2019. There's no announcement yet on staff, so I think it's best it airs around that time just to make sure things are well-prepared.

Guys who have read the more recent LN versions might have more insight though.

For an anime like this I'll bet it will grabs people's attentions, however I really don't want studio like J.C staff, and A-1 Picture to touch this.

Once again another light novel series about an otaku transported to another world. No thanks, I'll pass.

All these studios cited are extremely busy. The only studio that has free hands is Studio Trigger. It would be interesting to see an adaptation of Trigger. Also has P.A Works, which I know already finished his main series.

Lol, how do you know exactly how busy these studios are, did you call them and asked? This anime could come out next year, I don't see any confirmation for 2017. How do you know that Trigger and P.A Works aren't busy? They could be working on something they haven't announced yet.

Edit: Even if those studios are super busy, that won't necessarily stop them from making another show.

You still ask me? From the studios themselves. They have websites for some reason, do not you think? Shocked

Yeah I don't believe in J.C staff either, also with A-1 picture. A-1 picture adaptation are crap, they put a huge amount of budget on shitty anime,* cough* Gakusen Toshi Asterisk *cough* Gate *Cough* cough* Sword art online *Cough *'Cough, on top of that they're really terrible when adapt novel like this. J.C staff only good at Manga adaptation, and mostly sport.
Only Madhouse or Shalf can save us in term of novel adaptation.

Let me laugh my ass while being realistic. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Dream all you want, but let´s face it. No AAA studio wants to give themselves as sellouts, even if Shield Hero is good. What do you want, another Mahouka or Sagrada Reset case? Or worse yet: the promising studio Manglobe broke in part because of giving themselves for sellouts.

What matters the most is directors and writers. That´s how Studio Deen has been getting better after a time of being the laughing butt of the jokes. If you can´t be realistic then what kind of fans are you?, Of course JC or A-1 or other mid-tier studio can take it and adapt it. Not everyone can get on the AAA studios´ train. And I´m tired of the "It has to be a AAA studio" comments, because that´s for people with no real expectations.

Madhouse ruined Mahouka, NGNL's ending in s1 (LN readers know what I mean) and Alderamin on the sky so no they're not the best people for LN adaptations.

This talks about how anime studios are jammed with work, so production committee decided today they are going to do a one cour series, they would need to wait one or two years (depending on how much money are they going to spend) for the anime studio to start production.

A-1 can do the good job with the good staff - Granblue Fantasy got nearly perfect old-school Final Fantasy-style adventure (except it can be hit or miss with that) and really hook viewer to the game. And well yeah, Madhouse can do dissapointments.
