There's a whole bunch of manga that uses the same frames - just take a look at any shoujo publication - most of the time they don't even bother to do the character design utilizing "generic shoujo" looks. It's just that this time the same method was used on something with a bit more unique look.
I don't think that we can judge its originality based on the visual similarity alone. If it has found another use for the same frames, with different meaning (like a parody) - it's completely justifiable. In the end the most importand question is - will it give something new to someone that has already read the Death Note/Air Gear/Tenjo Tenge, etc.? Will it be interesting to read it? And the last question is, after all, the ultimate one. |

When I first saw this, the images, regardless of them being plagerized, lack consistancy for the get-go. I wouldn't br surprised if all the panels were stolen from other sources than the ones that we already know.

Oh, and I really hate to bring it up, seeing as Hojo is my homie, but the newest cover for Angel Heart indicates the guy at least saw the poster for a certain Hosoda anime.
