Just because it's based on the "Red Eye" storyline does not mean it can't occur sometime later in the series.

I have to say, just no.....we have enough live action movies and I think numbers can prove almost none of them work. Keanu Reeves could pen it but should not act in it as all the fan girls will cry once he messes up the awesomeness that is spike.

well i can agree with that but who knows. it may not bomb like pepe le pew. however i wont hold my breath.

the only live action based series i think might have a shot at success is the gatchaman / battle of the planet series .

Psycho: I doubt an fanbase which was willing to endure FUNi dubs and a cropped picture would ignore a good DBZ movie. Speed Racer's main problem, OTOH, is it was really old, but doesn't have the nostalgia value of a Transformers.

I still can not picture anybody being able to step into the roles of either Faye (she would have to not only be super hot, but super good as an actress), or Edward (I seriously can not think of any young actress that could pull her off, or any person period, she is that weird/wacky). Wait, maybe (just maybe) that girl who played "Hit Girl" in Kick Ass might be an interesting selection...

As for who could do Jet, it would probably be Keith David (he has the voice). Or maybe Michael Dorn (again that voice).

Ein would be interesting to see if they can get a Welsh Corgi that can do some stuff.

Eric: I don't think Faye is hot or smart, but I can deal with, say, Kristen Stewart, playing her. As for Ed, Netflix or rent CJ7. Moretz would be totally wrong for the part, though. And my pick for Jet is Rourke.

Anyway, I just hope Watanabe and/or Sunrise at least got paid for the licensing, if nothing else.
