Thank you so much, I just finished Spice and Wolf last night and I absolutely loved it. It's one of those shows that gives me hope for anime you know.

As far as Eden of the East, I am interested, but I haven't seen the first season yet, so it is a little harder for me to get excited about.

And Chobits, well I already have it.

More titles that i don't care about! Nice going FUNi, seems that 2011 will be an almost FUNi-free year for me.

...I'm sure they're losing so much sleep.

There are plenty of others excited about these acquisitions.

Yay for Chobits! Half my Geneon DVDs wouldn't play so I had to extract what raw data I could to watch them. I wouldn't mind having real working copies.

YES! Super excited. I've been wanting to see the movies for Eden of the East for a long time. It'll be so nice to have all of the show and movies on DVD.

EotE= Maybe, it seems interesting, Netflix @ the very least.
Spice= not my cup of tea.
Chobits= just put my Geneon singles on Ebay a couple of months ago, the re-release is good news. Now that Dark Horse has rescued the manga from Tokyopop and is putting it in omnibus form, the Chii fever is returning! ^___^

Dear Funi: SAILOR MOON NEXT, PLEASE!!

But, what was wrong with the Geneon Chobits release? I don't really see the point in Funi getting that one.

It seems interesting that S&W was relegated to the second, "Also:" line, instead of being in the main tag news line.

Coincidence?

Maybe because it's "Out of Print" or extremely exclusive due to price. Might have something to do with it. And Sailor Moon would be extremely expensive compared to something like Chobits, or hell, even Card Captor Sakura.

On Chobits: I already have the Geneon singles and art box so I don't need to pick this one up personally. I'm happy that others will get to enjoy this series though! It's a keeper and the English dub is great in my opinion.

On Eden of the East films: Like I said in another thread, I haven't watched it and don't know what I think of it. Seems to be popular though. New licenses are great. (I wonder about that rumor that Funi had Summer Wars though.)

On Spice and Wolf season 2: Anime hyper Does a happy dance.

Funimation needs to stop putting out so many crappy romance comedies.

Spice and Wolf, Eden of the East, and Chobits to some degree, are neither of these.

Sounds good. I hope Eden of the East ends up being as big of a hit as they seem to think it's going to be.

I hope so too.
I fairly enjoyed it.

But I think the movies are going to weigh it down a bit.
I recently watched King of Eden and...it wasn't that great, imo.

But opinions are opinions.
I urge everyone to try it out for themselves & see ;]

The Chobits dub is indeed a good one made even better by the fact that Crispin Freemen is in it. I already have the Geneon release, so their release is a no go, but it's nice that those who don't will now be able to purchase the show. I should dig out my DVDs and have myself a re-watch. I need to also pick up DH's release of the manga.

As for Eden of the East, I've heard good things about it and Kenji Kamiyama directed and I think he did an excellant job with Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex. It's on my radar. No opinion on Spice and Wolf.

Letsee.... Both X and Chobits have been rescued.... It COULD be a sign Smile Plus in all the interest with Dark Horse rescuing all the manga titles...
Yes, CCS would be amazing if this trend continues Smile

Surprised xxxHOLiC Kei hasn`t been announced yet, and I`m sure the OVAs will be coming soon... My hope is have one BIG Tsubasa/HOLiC OVA box with all the sets included Smile

Funi announced Eden of the East last year, and I haven't heard anything about a release so far, so I'd be more excited about the films if I had the series.

According to their twitter, the TV run of EotE is aimed for a late summer release.
