I'm perfectly fine with hug pillows. I don't use them myself but the fact that people use them doesn't bother me at all. It's just another funny part of the anime community that makes it what it is like waifus, lolicon and tsunderes. I'm also a huge fan of Haruka Tomatsu's work. She's a good singer and an even better seiyuu.
But this is plain weird. I mean, the pictures aren't suggestive like most hug pillows (Thank God). But rubbing your five o' clock shadow all over a pillow with a picture of a real person is beyond creepy. But then again, I guess stalkers are fans too. And if I were her, I probably would have approved of it as well. |

Haruka Tomatsu's late to the party. Rie Tanaka already had one of her own way back in 2010.
In any case, as somebody who doesn't think anything of "traditional" hug pillows depicting 2D girls, both this and the aforementioned Rie Tanaka pillow weird me out considerably. |

No, I don't even want to think of what some of the people who buy those pillows would do to it...no. ah, but it's her choice I guess. but I wouldn't be able to sleep at night knowing there were guys doing funny stuff to a pillow with my picture on it. |

I can't believe how many big roles Haruka Tomatsu has had over the past four or so years. She's probably the biggest seiyuu star I hadn't heard of.

She's an adult, she can do what she wants. There are numerous idiots in the world ready to buy whatever crap they see with their idol's face on it so if she can get some money out of it, good for her. It can seem a bit creepy but in the end it's all harmless anyway so whatever floats their boat.
