The only time that has happened is with Super Milk-chan. Space Dandy could have since it’s not really action and neither is FLCL.

There was also Shin-Chan as well.
I recall FLCL airing on a comedy night sandwiched in between Family Guy and the Oblongs (The only other anime on that night was Shin-chan), though this could be some sort of false memory on my end.

Might've been The Oblongs or another show. Adult Swim used to run anime on weeknights, before they built their own library of content.

Wait a minute. Don't the episodes repeat or something at around the halfway mark of each episode, just with different VAs? Are people still gonna be interested in something like that?

Of all the shows out there from FUNimation, I gotta say them picking this one was a surprise. Given Toonami's tendency to lean on action, and since I figured FLCL (Progressive and later Alternative) is filling the 'non-action' quota. That if anything Darling in the Franxx or Juni Taisen had a better shot of getting on Toonami. Shows what I know.

I was expecting Re:Zero to be the next show to be added on Toonami, but whatever.

It's similar to how the "Endless Eight" repeated itself with some scenery and line differences. For those that have not see PTE, they might still be interested.

Uhh... Seriously? I liked the show, but wouldn't this have been better in the Sunday block? This doesn't fit Toonami at all.

I disagree. With the exception of Black Clover, this is the best lineup Toonami's had in awhile.

The perfect series to replace the addictional Dragon Ball series (I'm getting tired of watching it on Toonami).

That's kind of the point. The people behind Toonami have been saying for the past few months that they're planning to open the block up to other genres of anime. The block will still primarily be about action, but they're broadening their options.

I'm not sure why people think Pop Team Epic would be better on the regular Adult Swim block just because it's a comedy anime. It's still a show that's mostly only popular with anime fans and it's humor is still geared mainly to anime fans that understand Japanese pop culture references that the more casual Adult Swim audience isn't going to get.
