Fromsoft and Miyazaki have earned these sales. More than 200 hours in and all I can do is get excited over new builds and look forward to multiplayer interactions.

Yeah, the game is definitely the best I've ever played. And this is coming from a non-Souls fan. The game is Breath of the Wild but with a much more satisfying combat system.

Those are incredible numbers. I've never played a Souls game before, I always thought they were popular but at the same time kind of aimed to a certain group of hardcore gamers, both Dark Souls and From Software were pretty well-known but I suppose with the success of Elden Ring they're truly mainstream

I really worry that FromSoft is going to make their games open-world going forward.
There's a lot of repeat content and unimportant space in that kind of design, and they take a lot longer to get through. |
