The new manga centers on Hitoyoshi Utsugi, a good-natured middle school student, who gets an invitation to fight in a battlefield, sent only to advanced players of the VR shooting game "VALD ONLINE."
Uno, Sanbasō, and Ryūtetsu's Nejimaki Seirei Senki: Tenkyō no Alderamin (Alderamin on the Sky) 14-volume light novel series inspired a television anime adaptation in 2016. Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired. Funimation streamed the anime's English dub.
The anime adaptation of Uno's Reign of the Seven Spellblades (Nanatsu no Maken ga Shihai Suru) light novel series premiered in 2023. Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired in Japan, and also streams an English dub.
Uno published the first Reign of the Seven Spellblades novel volume in September 2018 with illustrations by Ruria Miyuki. Kadokawa's Dengeki Bunko imprint published the 15th volume on August 8. Yen Press publishes the light novel series in English. Sakae Esuno launched a manga adaptation of the novels in Kadokawa's Shōnen Ace magazine in May 2019.
