Glad to see this will be on a decent streaming site. The less shows I have to deal with CR for, the better. Keep it coming!

What's wrong with Crunchyroll?

I feel the same way anytime CR licenses something.

But this works for me. Too bad it wasn't one of their dubcasts. But that just means they have more shows coming up...

Well for me it's just because hidive does not have a roku app since I don't like watching simulcasts on my phone or computer. If they end up getting one then I will subscribe.

Why not connect your computer to your tv?

Not everyone has HDMI ports.

They have a room app scheduled for this year, but an exact time frame hasn't been announced.

I went ahead and caved in and got HiDive a couple days ago, since it’s only $4 a month. Guess I’ll be watching this. I also won’t be surprised if they get the new LotGH show, and maybe even DubCast it.

I can live with this. I might even finally get HIDIVE once they finally release the xbox app this year like they said they would.

Now if only they would have done a dub cast for this Crying or Very sad

With what happened with Hoods Entertainment and Märchen Mädchen I'd be pretty wary about getting too invested in this show. Either way, if worst comes to worst at least Kodansha has got all the volumes published digitally so you can just jump back into the story.

I wish it was that simple for me not to be surprised. Unless companies in production cooperation can get the overseas rights then I don't see sentai getting this. This feels like the rebuilds all over again

Because you don't feel like running an HDMI cable across your living room floor?

Because all the HDMI ports on your TV are in use?

Because you have multiple TVs spread across the house and don't want to be limited on which ones you can use for a particular show?

Because you don't want to get up to boot your computer/kick it out of sleep mode whenever you want to watch something?

Because you're using a laptop without an HDMI-out?

Just because something's convenient for you doesn't mean it is for everyone.

What's wrong with Crunchyroll?

Besides the long running stability issues and the fact that the sites is all but unusable on weekends, there is the fact that it is one of the few sites left with no customization options for the subtitles, and their chosen font and color suck. There’s also the fact that their apps are quite bad and even make the new Hulu app look decent, and that their video quality is barely average. It would be nice if they would finally leave flash totally behind so their apps wouldn’t be necessary. The fact that they force you to use apps with no other way to test their service, if you don’t have flash, is a HUGE negative to me.

The only good things about CR are it’s fairly broad catalog, it’s queue system, and that you can stream most of their shows for free with commercials. Nearly everything else about the site lags behind its competitors, and its reliability has been an issue for years wih no attempts to fix it. They’ve at least acknowledged that there is a problem and claim to be working to fix it, but I will believe it when I see it. If they had fixed it two years ago, maybe I wouldn’t have cancelled.

On the bright side, most of the CR shows I’ve wanted to watch over the last two seasons have also streamed on Hulu, so at least I can watch them on a Saturday afternoon if I choose to, and I can skip commercials without paying for another service. I actually miss the days when most of the CR shows were shared with other services, including Hulu.
