Another typo, "for" should be "four".

"Now Funimation's giving it a new lease on life..." And may I ask "Why?" Anybody can go to the used, or not, video store and buy old Geneon copy! Funimation should be picking new titles, not rehashing old stuff, live it to the Anime Legends, with all due respect, just move on!

Thank you for reading! Very Happy

I'll vouch for this show. It was a very well made, solid piece or work. Every one that I know personally that has seen it really enjoyed it as well.

They put Samurai Champloo back out there.

They win.

Been there, done that, got the DVDs.

But I recommend y'all watch it. Great series, very underrated. J is one of the most awesome anime characters ever, seriously. And JYB steals the show as the bad guy.

It's also the late Bob Papenbrook's day in the sun as the lead character.

Although I already have the dvds and LOVE them greatly and I am happy the show is getting another chance in the spot light, it really should be an anime legend like another poster stated. There's nothing more that can be done to the series. IMO, the original dub and sub were equally good and awesomely done.

Nooo he died? ;____; I loved how he voiced J! This makes me so sad. ._.

But seriously, this show is awesome! I highly recommend it to anyone who likes cops and mafia and detectives or robots or even smart banter between characters. Sometimes the sarcasm level between Daisuke and Clair is pretty fantastic. Anime hyper The cast is really well developed too - if you don't like the Escaflowne art style, don't let that turn you off! I like to compare the futuristic mix to something like cowboy bebop meets bublegum crisis, just that no one ever leaves the planet.

I never did get around to getting the box set, but I think I'm going to preorder on friday when I get paid. I just hope we get all the same extras the other one did!

Yep, but the real question for me is "Why not R.O.D?" They pick up a bunch of recent shows that were on TV, but not that. They even picked up Gad Guard and Gungrave which showed up along with R.O.D on G4 as part of their new anime after acquiring TechTV.

This seems pretty interesting. And adds to my list yet another animated show that can be prefixed with the phrase "despite a short run on MTV"

True. I think the success of Beavis and Butthead and Aeon Flux led them to believe that cartoons were going to work for them.

I'm glad this show is getting a second chance. It is my fourth fave anime. The first episode was stylish but uninvolving, but fortunately, I gave the other episodes on the first disc a chance, and was hooked by the end. Daisuke is a cool hero, he's forgiving and not very violent. By the end of the show, even enemies become like old friends.
