These trailers are enough for me to forgive how bad the original SAO was.

This arc will redeem the terrible Alfheim arc ( which was still neccesary for the story to make sense) Im definetly looking forward to this one.

Oh, and there is a possible confirmation of a two arc season again, Phantom bullet and Mother Rosario. ( which will feature Asuna in the lead)

It's going to be funny to see Kirito's more feminine look in GGO. May take some getting used to. Laughing

Lets see. Looking at the ads at the beginning of the PV.

I see:
Bandai Namco
Ace Combat
God Eater 2
And I'm guessing a couple other game trailers whos names weren't displayed.

Yeah, just as I thought, this season won't be as good as the first one Rolling Eyes I'll watch it anyway, though.

I hope to too since it was my favorite single volume. Though the main plot point was already spoiled in a news article here...

The first arc of SAO suffered heavily from it being page limited for his single novel contest entry and then having a bunch of side stories tossed in which broke up the pacing and limited how much time he could use to develop Kirito. The second arc was told much better, but the content was crap. This one pretty much fixes everything (well Kirito will probably still be hated by everyone who hated him in S1, but the new MC for the arc has a lot of character development this time).

Why did you find it bad? I enjoyed SAO so much, i watched the whole thing in 1 day.

I dont understand why people find the Alheim arc so bad, yea there isnt a life or dead situation. However its still the resolving events of the Aincrad arc, with saving Asuna and the remaining players. I really enjoyed it, but as briliant as the first arc was this one was not no.

Most likely the mother Rosario arc will be included as well, its a small arc and it has Asuna as the main lead. I mean a whole season without Asuna? Kirito hottie? No way. Maybe the scene we saw of Alfheim is a hint to that. What i read about this arc that it is really emotional.

I hope SAO 2 will be like 25 episodes long. Very Happy

Because it made Asuna go from being a badass character that was pretty much the second greatest player in the game who could take on dungeon bosses into a weak damsel in distress held up the cage the entire arc. So I can see why people don't like the arc.

Even then looking back at the first season there was great potential there but it was handled terribly. The pacing sucks with plot points set up and thrown out episode to episode. All the world building we see is only contained in one episode almost nothing has any lasting effect. We see all of 3 dungeon bosses the majority of the story is done off screen. It really wasn't that great of a show more potential for greatness then actual payoff. I never read the light novels so maybe the Aincrad arc is super short and rushed like it is in the anime but personally the entire first season should have been on Aincrad showing the struggles of those stuck in the game and expanding the world. Yet nope most everything is contained within it's own episode and is barely brought up again beyond Kirito's first guild all dying and Kirito and Asuna's "daughter".

The lack of Asuna wasn't AS bad as the sudden focus on Sugu, but it did come a close second for complaints. (Or third, with the corny villain.) And even then, not as bad as making Sugu the main romantic "replacement" just to put in the icky otaku imouto-complex incest-fanservice pandering.
Fourth would be the "mad scientist" plot that was supposed to be a life-or-death stakes for Kirito to save the other players on the level of the first arc but ultimately never went anywhere, except to put in a tentacle-fetish moment...Tied with the "Watch my Deus Ex Machina move!" factor that seemed to be Kirito's main strategy, except in the big pre-confrontation episode, of course.

I bought the manga and light novel recently, I skipped through it a lil. The only thing i can tell from what I've seen and read so far is what you see in the anime is almost what you read in the manga and light novel. Both are only one volume for the aincrad arc.

Few months ago they started a new manga called "progressive" there is it more shown the things what happend between the other stages.
