OK, can't wait to see the trailer, I hope it doesn't come out weird when I see the trailer.

I'll try and be cautiously optimistic.

I will say this, because this movie actually stars human beings (and not CGI creatures), there's a better chance this movie will be decent I think.

I wonder how well it will fair with Power Rangers fans considering many now are grown up and maybe have moved on from it.

Nostalgia is a powerful tool. Ask Michael Bay.

I said the same thing about Transformers and Ninja Turtles, but those movies do well. Not sure how many people who watch those were fans of the 80s shows, in fact it seems like most fans of the 80s shows hate the movies. There's a lot to be said in appealing to the mainstream crowd.
I myself graduated onto Super Sentai when I was old enough to download fansubs and never looked back after realizing how terrible and offensive Power Rangers was. Though neither of those qualities stop Bay's movies from being successful so I suppose that doesn't count for much.

It has to have at least these two songs:
♪Go, go Power Rangers♪
and
♪Uh-oh, we're in trouble♪
I need to feel like a teenager again. I need mah 90s cheesiness.

Power Rangers ratings are pretty mediocre these days from what I hear.
There's a reason they keep milking the Mighty Morphin era and ignore every other season. They're just going after the nostalgia bucks since that's all the franchise is anymore.

All you have to look at is Transformers, GI Joe, and/or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
But... the creative pedigree appears to be a bit better on this flick.
Hopefully this will be closer to Star Trek and X-Men, then those others.
