Sakurazuka_Reika, Tsubasa was almost like another CCS anime adaptation of sorts. With a number of older manga getting anime (or new) adaptations in recent years (like Astro Boy and Cyborg 009) and given the series' popularity, I wouldn't rule out a new anime version in the next few years. |

Kadmos1, other than the two main characters in Tusbasa sporting the same faces as the ones in CCS, I don't really see the similarity in the two series. It's not like Sakura and Syoran even had the same character, so to me those two will always be very distinct series.
Yeah, there has been a rise of remakes lately. While I certainly do spot the possibility of a CCS remake, I'm not keeping my fingers crossed for it. It's just something I would like to see happen

This feels strange to me. They keep milking the brand over and over with new crap like umbrellas, watches, wallets etc but they don't seem to bother touching the actual show or manga. Releasing the manga and show on BD doesn't count. The audience that grew up watch CCS, whether japanese, or dubbed is growing older and older. Therefore why haven't they boarded the nostalgia bandwagon and done a new show of CCS, either as a spin-off or continuation? Why not take a page from Digimon's playbook?
