Japanese video game news website 4Gamer revealed the top 20 highest-selling games for the May 28 to June 3 week in Japan on Wednesday. The ranking revealed that Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Switch game has sold 1,004,689 copies in Japan, with 6,722 of those copies sold that week. The number does not include digital download purchases of the game.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild launched for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Wii U in March 2017. Nintendo revealed in April that as of March 31 the game has sold 8.48 million units for the Switch worldwide.

The game won Game of the Year at the 35th Golden Joystick Awards ceremony in London last November, won Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2017 last December, and won Game of the Year at The SXSW Gaming Awards ceremony in March.
