Voice actress and singer Hitomi Harada announced on her official blog on Friday that she will take a short break due to fracturing her tailbone. She has cancelled all her scheduled events and engagements this month and in October, as she feared that the injury might only get worse if she pushed herself in her job.
She noted on her blog that she fractured her tailbone due to slipping and falling on her hip on wooden deck flooring outside a store after buying refreshments on a rainy day. After she had herself examined, she was hospitalized immediately.
She apologized to her fans for not being able to appear at events, and she noted that she would focus on treating the injury and getting better so she can get back to her work faster.
Harada has performed theme songs for such anime as Baka and Test - Summon the Beasts, Hidamari Sketch × Honeycomb, Senran Kagura: Ninja Flash!, and the upcoming Valkyrie Drive -Mermaid- TV anime. Some of her roles include Sasameki Koto's Tomoe Hachisuka, Senran Kagura: Ninja Flash!'s Asuka, Girl Friend BETA's Erena Mochizuki, and Maken-Ki! Battling Venus' Aki Nijō.
