4th TV anime season premieres in January

The first 2018 issue of Akita Shoten's Weekly Shōnen Champion magazine is revealing on Thursday that rock band Rhythmic Toy World is performing the opening theme song of Yowamushi Pedal Glory Line, the Yowamushi Pedal anime series' fourth season. The song is titled "Boku no Koe" (My Voice), and the CD single for the song is slated for February 14.

The fourth anime season will premiere in January. The season's story will begin from the Inter High competition.

The story of the original Yowamushi Pedal manga centers around Sakamichi Onoda, an otaku at Sōhoku High School. He loves anime and games so much, that he would ride his commuter bicycle to and from Tokyo's Akihabara shopping district in a 90-kilometer (about 60-mile) round trip over steep slopes after school. Onoda's life changes when he encounters his school's cycling team, and he ends up joining the competitive sport of bicycle racing.

Wataru Watanabe launched the original manga in Akita Shoten's Weekly Shōnen Champion magazine in 2008, and the story has also inspired stage plays and live-action television series. The first season of the anime premiered in 2013. The second season premiered in 2014, followed by the third season this past January. Crunchyroll streamed all three seasons outside Japan as they aired.

The franchise's most recent anime film, Yowamushi Pedal Re:Generation, opened in Japan on October 13. The compilation film incorporates footage from the third anime season with some new shots.
