Manga adaptation of April anime series launched in February

The September issue of Kodansha's Shonen Magazine Edge magazine published the last chapter of Chikara Sakuma's Megalobox - Shukumei no Sōken (Megalobox - The Twin Fists of Fate) manga on Friday.

The manga is based on Megalobox, the spinoff television anime based on Ikki Kajiwara (pen name Asao Takamori) and Tetsuya Chiba's Ashita no Joe manga. Sakuma launched the manga in Shonen Magazine Edge on February 17. Kodansha published the manga's first compiled book volume on April 17.

In the anime's story, a man called JD (Junk Dog) participates in fixed boxing matches in an underground ring in order to live. Today, he enters the ring again, but he encounters a certain person. JD wants to take on a challenge that risks everything.

The 13-episode anime premiered on TBS on April 5, and Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired. Viz Media licensed the anime.
