Japan Habba Cultural Festival Returns as In-Person Event to Bangalore on May 14

The staff of Japan Habba announced its cultural festival's schedule on Tuesday. The event will host a Tech & Jobs Fair on May 13 from 9:00 a.m. IST to 4:00 p.m. IST and a Cultural Festival on May 14 from 10:00 a.m. IST to 5:30 p.m. IST at the National Science Seminar Complex and Satish Dhawan Auditorium, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.
The Cultural Festival will host the following events:
The event will host its "Animathon 2023" anime and manga quiz from 10:30 a.m. IST.
A cosplay showcase will take place on May 14 and participants will get free tickets to the event.
A Pokemon Go event will take place from 10:00 a.m. IST onwards and will have a prize pool of 20,000 Pokecoins. There will be five separate events in which players can choose to participate.
The event will host a Smash Bros Ultimate tournament with a prize pool of ₹22,000 from 11:30 a.m. IST. Participants do not require their own Nintendo Switch consoles and have to register individually.
Tomokuni Terukina, "a sanshin master of the Afuso-ryu school," will perform on stage on May 14. The event will also feature stalls selling anime and manga merchandise as well as activities involving tea ceremony, calligraphy, ikebana, and origami, and traditional Japanese food.

Japan Habba has been held annually in Bangalore since 2005 with the goal of promoting Indo-Japanese relations and providing an opportunity for people to learn more about Japan, interact with like-minded people, and experience Japanese culture.
