Umicon Announces Guest Line-up and Events for Umicon 2014!

DAYTONA BEACH, FL (August 4th, 2014) - Umicon is excited to announce their guest lineup and major events for their third annual convention, taking place September 5th – September 7th at the Plaza Resort and Spa, located right on the world's most famous beach!

This year, Umicon has guests that have worked on many fan favorites, including Attack on Titan, Fullmetal Alchemist, One Piece, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Trinity Blood, and countless others.

J. Michael Tatum has performed as Sebastian Michaelis in Black Butler, Erwin Smith in Attack on Titan, Scar in Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, and France in Hetalia - Axis Powers

Justin Cook has produced English adaptions of many anime hits, including Attack on Titan, One Piece, Hetalia - Axis Powers, and Soul Eater. In the world of voice acting, he has starred as Yusuke Urameshi in Yū Yū Hakusho and Dietrich von Lohengrin in Trinity Blood

John Swasey is most known for his performances as Gendo ikari in Neon Genesis Evangelion, Von Hoenheim in Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, and Sir Crocodile in One Piece.

Daryl Guilbeau has starred as Gainer Sanga in Overman King Gainer and is also known for his role as Mikado Ryugamine in Durarara!!

Aaron Dismuke is a favorite of Umicon attendees who is back once again! Aaron achieved fame for his portrayal of Alphonse Elric in Fullmetal Alchemist as well as Ion Fortuna in Trinity Blood.

In addition to amazing guests in the world of anime, Umicon has plenty of events to enjoy throughout the weekend. There will be panels, a video game room, table top gaming, viewing rooms, Saturday morning cartoons, a masquerade ball and rave dance, an AMV contest, and Umicon's Grand Anime Costume Contest with $250 for the winning costume! But that's not all! Since Umicon is right by the ocean, there will be several beach events to participate in including a cosplay-themed Dead or Alive Beach Volleyball competition, the World Water Balloon Battle, Quidditch, a Sandcastle Contest, and a Beachwear Costume Contest!

Ticket prices at the door are only $40 for an adult weekend pass and $20 for weekend pass for children ages 4-8. Saturday passes are $30 each and Friday and Sunday passes are $20 each.
