Tora-Con Announces Shihori Concert Streaming and Other Guests on Twitch

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - The RIT Anime Club is pleased to announce a free concert performed by Shihori, exclusively for Tora-Connect 2021 on Twitch. In addition to this concert there will also be a series of virtual “panels” featuring popular voice actors in the anime industry, such as Johnny Yong Bosch, Kira Buckland, and Casey Mongillo.

Shihori is a Japanese singer/songwriter based in New York state. She debuted with her first single “TSUBASA,” the ending theme for the anime “Kishin Taisen Gigantic Formula.” Some of her most popular songs include “I Cover You” and “Imperfect Imperfection.” Her live performance is planned to air on Tora-Con's Twitch channel at 5:30 pm EDT on Saturday, March 20, 2021.

Johnny Yong Bosch, Kira Buckland, and Casey Mongillo will be answering questions in Q&A Panels on Tora-Con's 2nd Twitch channel (toraconofficial2). Johnny Yong Bosch is a voice actor known for such roles as Lelouch Lamperouge in Code Geass and Adachi/Narukami in Persona 4. Kira Buckland is well-known for voicing roles in a variety of games and anime such as 2B in NieR:Automata and Mitsuri in Demon Slayer. Lastly, Casey Mongillo is a voice actor known for playing Shinji in Neon Genesis Evangelion (2019 Netflix dub) along with providing voices for many games such as Red Dead Redemption, Grand Theft Auto, and much more.

Tora-Connect 2021 will be held March 20th from 11AM-7:45PM EDT on Twitch in place of an in-person Tora-Con 2021.There is no registration this year for Tora-Connect 2021, as it is a free online stream through Twitch.

ABOUT TORA-CON: Tora-Con was created by the Rochester Institute of Technology Anime Club to provide anime and manga related entertainment to the Rochester area and beyond. The convention is planned and prepared by a dedicated Anime Club E-Board made up of RIT students.

ABOUT RIT ANIME CLUB: Founded in the early 1990s, the RIT Anime Club is one of the largest anime clubs in the country with over 150 active members. The purpose of the RIT Anime Club is to enrich the academic environment by stimulating the growth and appreciation of Anime as an art form as well as promoting awareness and understanding of Japanese Culture. The RIT Anime Club is a not-for-profit organization located in Rochester, New York.
