Ani-One Asia Streams Kaiju No. 8 Season 2, Takopi's Original Sin, Clevatess, More Anime

Ani-One Asia announced on Tuesday and Wednesday that it will stream the Kaiju No. 8 Season 2, Takopi's Original Sin, Clevatess, Solo Camping for Two, Detectives These Days Are Crazy!, Puniru is a Kawaii Slime Season 2, and Uglymug, Epicfighter anime.

For its stream of the second season of the television anime of Naoya Matsumoto's Kaiju No. 8 manga, Ani-One Asia will first stream the original side story episode "Hoshina's Day Off" on July 5 at 11:00 p.m. GMT +8, followed by episode 14 (the first episode of the second season) on July 19 at 11:00 p.m. GMT +8. The stream will be available in Brunei, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, the Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Palau, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam.

Kōki Uchiyama will join the cast as Gen Harumi in the second season. Hiroki Yasumoto and Kana Hanazawa also join the cast as Eiji Hasegawa and Rin Shinonome, respectively.

Norwegian singer-songwriter AURORA will perform the anime's opening song "You Can't Run From Yourself."

Multiple staff members from the first season returned for the new episode. Yūto Tsukuda (Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma original creator) is credited as the writer for the new episode's original story, and Yuichiro Kido (Dr. Stone) was the scriptwriter. The story follows Reno on a day off, who senses something unusual with Hoshina, who is also on his day off, and follows him along with Iharu.

The anime's first season premiered on TV Tokyo in April 2024 and aired for 12 episodes. Ani-One Asia streamed the anime as it aired. The anime streamed on X (formerly Twitter) as well worldwide in real time as it aired on TV in Japan, at the exact time the anime aired.

Shigeyuki Miya (Onihei) and Tomomi Kamiya directed the anime. Ichirō Ōkouchi (Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion) handled the series composition and screenplay. Tetsuya Nishio (Naruto) was the character designer and chief animation director. Mahiro Maeda (Shin Godzilla) designed the monsters. Shinji Kimura (Tekkonkinkreet) was the art director. Yuta Bando (BELLE) composed the music.

Production I.G (Ghost in the Shell) handled animation production, and Studio Khara (Rebuild of Evangelion) was in charge of kaiju designs and artworks.

The stream for the anime adaptation of Taizan 5's Takopi's Original Sin (Takopii no Genzai) manga will debut on June 27 at 11:00 p.m. GMT +8. The stream will be available in Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, Fiji, Guam, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, Maldives, the Marshall Islands, Mauritius, Micronesia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nauru, Nepal, the Northern Mariana Islands, Pakistan, Palau, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, Samoan Islands, Seychelles, Singapore, the Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, Timor-Leste (East Timor), Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, and Vietnam. Takopi, a Happian alien spreading joy across the universe. Their mission takes a challenging turn when they meet Shizuka, a girl with a miserable life, absent parental support, severe bullying from Marina, and limited help from Azuma. Shizuka finds solace only in her dog Chappy, her father's last gift. Takopi strives to fill the emptiness in her life.

The anime stars Kurumi Mamiya as Takopi and Reina Ueda as Shizuka Kuze. The cast also includes Konomi Kohara as Marina and Anna Nagase as Azuma.

Shinya Iino (director for Dr. Stone, Dr. Stone: Stone Wars) is directing the anime and overseeing the series scripts. Keita Nagahara (key animator for Violet Evergarden, Sound! Euphonium, Sonny Boy) is the character designer. ENISHIYA is producing the work.

Taizan 5 debuted the manga in Shueisha's Shonen Jump+ in December 2021, and ended it in March 2022. Shueisha published the second and final compiled book volume in April 2022. Viz Media licensed the manga, and the series is also available in English on Shueisha's MANGA Plus.

The manga was nominated for the 16th Manga Taisho Awards and the 27th Annual Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prizes in 2023. The series received the Manga Kingdom Tottori award at the 51st Japan Cartoonists Association Awards in 2022. The manga ranked at #3 in the Kono Manga ga Sugoi! (This Manga Is Amazing!) guidebook's top 20 manga for male readers list in 2022.

Ani-One Asia will begin streaming the television anime of Yuji Iwahara's Clevatess -Majū no Ō to Akago to Shikabane no Yūsha- (Clevatess - The King of Magical Beasts, the Baby, and the Corpse Hero) manga on July 2 at 7:30 p.m. GMT +8. Tomomi Shimazaki (Elegant Yokai Apartment Life, Mr. Villain's Day Off) is designing the characters.

Hiroyuki Hasegawa is directing the background art, and Haruko Seto is the color key artist. Hiroki Tsubouchi is the compositing director of photography. Taiki Yamaki is directing the sound, and Shōta Kowashi (Pui Pui Molcar, Snack Basue, Under Ninja) is composing the music.

Skirt is performing the opening theme song "Akari wa Tōku" (The Light is Far Away) and singer Masayoshi Ōishi is performing the ending theme song "Futari Camp feat. SPECIAL OTHERS."

Taiiku Okazaki performs the opening theme song "Suffer." The characters Mashiro and the "Jolly Old Men" (Yukai na Ojisan), as voiced by Kana Hanazawa and Tomokazu Sugita, are performing the ending theme song "GORI☆GORI Feez e-Girl!!"

Izumi Mori also returns to compose the music.
