I'll add to your anger by telling you that Nichibros sold like crap (about 2k a volume), so no, there won't be a sequel. Especially with the manga being cancelled, now there would be no reason for the production committee to greenlight a sequel to advertise a manga that no longer exists. |

I'd say that not only does Binbougami-ga! match it in humour (the Death Note parody in a recent episode was hilarious), but it also has far more heart than Nyarko-san. There have been quite a few good Anime Comedies lately. Polar Bear Cafe is consistently funny, SKET Dance has been an enjoyable 'Dramedy', and Acchi Kocchi was an extremely adorable Slice-of-Life Comedy. |

Long version: This is what sells, thus this is what is being produced. As a business major, I know things that you might now know. While it may seem so, companies don't just randomly pick what shows to make, based on previous shows, and market estimates. If they think it will sell, they will make it. All the things you mentioned (Kenshin, FMP) did NOT sell well. Why would they make more? Short version: deal with it. Nyarlko was very funny. Now all I need is a 2nd season of Binbougami. Man, the manga's still awesome. Last edited by DmonHiro on Fri Sep 28, 2012 1:10 am; edited 2 times in total |

Um, Drrr sold amazingly well... like about 20k a volume. So that one has a chance to get a sequel at some point if they wanted to make one. |

Ah, the anime growing pains of "WHY DOESN'T THE THING I LIKE GET MORE?" Even so, there's plenty of ecchi anime I want second seasons of too, but they're never gonna happen. Regardless of content, it is based on revenue.

Odd... I was certain DRRR sold poorly. I may be confusing it with some other show.... Edit: My bad, DRRR is the one with Celty. I mistook it for Baccano. |

I liked but didn't love the first season. It wasn't funny enough to make me laugh and not serious enough to have me care. It has nice character designs, though. I'll check out season 2 and see if there's any improvements in either department, but won't hold my breath.

There seems to be a lot of data missing, considering that each volume of Nisemonogatari sold around 45,000 copies. This weeks Blu-Ray rnaking according to Oricon is: 1. Fate/Zero (41,121 copies), 2. Kyokai no Horizon 2 vol. 1 (17,825 copies), Gundam Seed HD Remaster Box 3 (10,078 copies). And to get on-topic Nyaruko vol. 4 is at the third place of yesterdays (09/27) daily Blu-Ray charts. source: https://ranking.oricon.co.jp/index.asp?cat_id=rank |

Yay!!! I'm so happy, I truly enjoyed this series, it is one of my favorite guilty pleasure anime shows. I'm glad this series is getting a second season.

I think this was an obvious choice and am glad to hear that some others felt the same and decided to produce another season of it. I started noticing Kana Asumi a lot more after this show.
