Michigan’s only anime convention north of Detroit, JAFAX, will have it’s 11th edition June 24-25 at Grand Valley State University, 1 Campus Drive, Allendale, MI 49401. Allendale is a suburb of Grand Rapids, just west of the city. The event, sometimes referred to as the "Relaxicon," is free.
It’s a regional con, last year drawing 2,700 visitors for costume contests, panels, multiple screening rooms, other contests, anime/manga merchandise. Invited panelists include artist/voice actor Doug Smith, and voice actor Michael Coleman. So anyone in Mich, northern Ind. or Ohio, here's the anime con for you. (^_*) |
