Episode 5
While the Majestic Princes are worried about being called the Fail Five again when they find out that their saviours, team Doberman, are not too different from them after all. The leaders meet and some footage was exchanged, although Izuru spoiler[did not seem to catch what I felt was quite obvious to be pornography, and showed it to the girls too. Interestingly despite Tamaki and Ataru despite being the company seekers they are acted off, Ataru being all innocent and not be able to watch, and Tamaki having no idea what was happening]. And all the talk about spoiler[needing to trust led] to the spoiler[success of their mission], although you have to wonder what they might have done when there was surprise activity and we have been shown that there may be a misunderstanding. Might be just me, but I had a real Star Fox 64 (I know it as Lylat wars) feeling, if only they managed to do a barrel role. Oh, and it looked like there was a hint of a Sixth Ranger to join their Five Man band. |

So ep 6 is a breather episode. not too bad although it might have been more touching if we had actually seen more of spoiler[the school] before this episode. I don't expect team Doberman to last much longer

Episode 7
You know, there are commanders who are bad who can be really ignorant. And then there is the guy in this show who spoiler[does not fully pay attention and disregards a full explanation of his equipment, ignores most advice from others by asking about his looks rather than being properly prepared], and then states his entirespoiler[ battle plan over television right before leaving for said battle]. This guy is a threat to humanity, his first idea when he is starting to lose is to say fight harder. That one likely got in politically rather than any actual skill. Cute manager they have there, I do wonder what most of her job was. |

I pretty sure the spoiler[attack plan was going to be broadcast everywhere] no matter who was giving the details. I look forward to next week's battles

wow, now that was a fantastic episode. I'm not much of a mecha fan but that was a beautifully animated battle. it's amazing what they can do when they actually work together.

Kinda agreed here. Full all throttle action episode made me happy this week. That and DS2 also surprisingly had that as well this week. |

Episode 9
Romantic angst seems to be strong in this one, with spoiler[Kei worried about Izuru, Asagi trying to comfort her but disliking himself for encouraging her to go see him, then Kei getting kind of jealous over Izuru chasing the defector]. And Tamaki has totally fallen in love with spoiler[the enemy]. |

ok so with episode 10, we now have some kind of cross between Vandread and Prometheus. the Walguru spoiler[are a very ancient race that aren't doing so well genetically, so they sent their genes across the galaxy, created us and other races and and now harvesting those creations to grow stronger]. meanwhile Tamaki is still very annoying but considering her compatibility spoiler[with her unit is second to Izuru's], we just might get to see her kick some Walguru ass later on

Episode 12 was hilarious. SOMEONE's related to Yukari-sensei from Azumanga Daioh.

Episode 12
Indeed a good change of pace as a breather episode. One of my favourite parts started at around 8:04, when they went to spoiler["A Certain Flower Preschool", this seemed to be an obvious (to me) reference to Hanamaru Kindergarten as I am fairly sure hanamaru] has something to do with flowers. The spoiler[school] looked very similar, Tamaki was dressed like spoiler[Yamamoto-sensei], while Kei and the spoiler[kids wore traditional kindergarten outfits with the pink flower badge on Kei being like the ones in Hanamaru]. Looking for conections I can see that Gainax, which was the Animation production for spoiler[Hanamaru], is one of the companies doing 2nd Key Animation in this show, while one of the companies doing Animation Production in this show, Dogakobo, was one of the ones that did 2nd Key Animation in spoiler[Hanamaru]. The spoiler[genius kid] thing might have been a reference to spoiler[Hiiragagi], or the fact they kept changing costumes through the episode, also this. Also adorable date was adorable. |

not really sure why, but Ataru just spoiler[hanging out in space for 7 hours] was kinda funny. that was a really entertaining breather episode. And wow, Kei really has spoiler[nothing there]. poor girl
