This Soylent Green reference made my inner sci-fi geek smile.

You forgot the Cyclons and Dalaks as for the anime Metropolis that is really a animated version of Fritz Lang Metropolis than Osamu Tezuka's original manga novel of the same name.

Don't recognize any on this list, but was really surprised not to see the robots from Animatrix. This is an interesting topic tho.

Still not understanding the huge appeal for Monogatari franchise, even after watching and analyzing it multiple times. Admittingly, first season was at least very good, Nise was joke and I don't fully understand why it seems like people treat the franchise like it's a God.
Free! I can understand. KyoAni is pretty top quality stuff, despite the subject of this specific show. I'll probably even watch an episode or 2 just to see how much they actually cater to the fanservice or if they're going to have an actual good story in it like Chuuni did.

Toward the Terra's computer was pretty creepy, too. Not sure it hated humanity, per se, but, well . . .

I just want to stop by and say how thrilled I am to see Free! at the top of the poll. Even if just by one vote, I'm happily surprised to see it win over Monogatari -the expected blockbuster for summer-. I hope it's a good omen for the Swimming Boys' success
