To think it was going to be animated by Studio Deen. Brains Base is still a good animation studio, though.

I'm not at all familiar with the source material so I'm not sure what to think of this project yet. So far I haven't truly liked any of Rumiko Takahashi's works but I'm willing to give this one a try. I tend not to like comedies very much though so . . . we'll see.

If we look at the adaptations of Takahashi Rumiko's previous works, it won't surprise me if the show will be extended beyond 25 episodes. |
Doubt it. i have a nasty feeling it will be a 26 ep series as a psuedo trailer for the manga like how the anime versions of angel sancutary ,bastard and vampire knight was.
the only way i can see it going after 25-26 eps is that the anime version have the same popularity as inuyasha.

This being an NHK-E show, it could run for many seasons regardless of its ratings and BD/DVD sales, like Bakuman, Phi Brain and now Baby Steps. However, I wouldn't expect it to become a huge hit and give the manga a significant sales boost like Inuyasha's anime did, since that show used to air in the same hourlong block as Detective Conan.

My first instinct is to recommend The Daily Lives of High School Boys, but anyway-- I'm hoping for the best with this series. Haven't read anything of Takahashi in a few years so I'm curious.

Are you kidding? Since when does Inuyasha have no comedy?

I can't wait! I have loved Rumiko Takahashi since Inuyasha (the best anime in the world) and I'm excited to see a new anime from her. I was hoping they would animate this so this is excellent news and I'm looking forward to it
