A sports series relating to swimming? Oh this reminds me of Free slightly.

More Free and similar sports manga (and eventually anime) in a shounen magazine but for josei/mature shojo audience interested in muscles please. |

It's too bad he didn't just continue Kiruko-San instead. That manga was brilliant.

Here's hoping this Best Blue will one day be adapted into an anime show. That swimmer looks really energetic.

For some reason, this reminds me a video I saw a long time ago...

Oh of course. With enough pressure, anything can break. Who's to say the standard doesn't have a loop hole? Kuroko, Prince of Tennis, Haikyuu, Major, Ace of Diamond, etc. Definitely some standards there. |

After the flop that was Tokyo Wonder Boys, I hope this doesn't fail as well. I need a new sports series to fill my Kuroko hole in WSJ. And it's swimming, my favorite sport!
Please support this on JUMP, Japanese fujoshi! |

You got sport manga in other magazines, for example Shonen Sunday's Mix. :p

Best of luck with the new series, and may the author have the liberty to present his ideas as he wishes.

Support the guys' side and have plenty of hot girls in bikinis and maybe a lead female that likes the lead guy to steer away from the fujoshi angle.

That won't happen. Sports series are nearly always very male focused and still popular enough with boys. The fujoshi angle just happens to coincide with the typical shounen sports series set up. & a token female "love interest" will not stop the fujoshi. |
