Surely his marital problems have nothing to do with his work and are between him and his spouse, right? Then why would he apologize to--- nevermind. It's Japan.
Imagine if people in American show business retired after infidelity. I mean, I don't endorse the practice (don't cheat, folks), but there wouldn't be anyone left minding the cameras.
Also, he's "retiring"? Seems like he hasn't worked in over a decade. I think he retired in the 90s and he just kept going into the office out of habit.

I think it's more like he retired the showbiz industry in the 2000s, but remained active in the music industry until recently. I mean, I still consider Railgun S a pretty recent series.
Reading the article, I think TK's a pretty decent person for a guy who gets a lot of heat.

Wow. If this were Hollywood, a little marital (but consensual) indiscretion would only rank a "meh".

People are discriminated and ostricized in job environments for petty things like religion or political affiliation in America all the time.

He was a pretty active music producer after his most recent legal debacle came to an end. He's credited with spearheading AAA's rise in popularity and, as mentioned, he was part of a three member group performing the theme for this year's Kamen Rider series. (the single goes on sale next week)

American show businesses, especially Hollywood, has been through a ton of shit to the point tabloid media is a multibillion-dollar industry. God forbid Hollywood degeneracy followed the same moral compass as the general populace, because thousands would be out of a job. But hey, they can always get a job at fake news CNN.

No wonder that theme song was so catchy!

You mean the same moral compass that leads to people thinking the confederacy was a legitimate entity that deserves to have mounments erected to honor soldiers who fought for them?
The same moral compass that leads to people thinking that god fearing individuals who sexually abuse or assault minors can easily be forgiven by them simply apologizing or simply saying their innocent (yet ironically criticizing Hollywood for the same behavior)?
The same moral compass that leads to people who perform abortions being labeled inhumane monsters but people who kill abortion doctors or intend to blow up abortion clinics are just simply doing God's work?
The same moral compass that leads to individuals spewing racist, misogynistic, Islamaphobic, Anti semitic, LGBT phobic rhetoric or supporting like minded policies?
You might wanna take your spiel back to the 1940's/1950's where it belongs while paying attention to how a fraction of the "general populace" votes every election cycle based on the above.

Except in some of those instances it's not really discrimination whereas the ostracization would be avoided if some people didn't choose to publicly reveal some too troubling views that of course are going to create a self fulfilling prophecy because of it.

LOL, calm down. My point was the undeniable fact most people don't adhere to the ivory tower radical nihilistic values of the elite, who can get away with doing everything a functional society frowns upon, but still have the nerve to claim the moral high ground.

For what it's worth fatalism and theological determination is little better.

No coitus happened so he shouldn't feel bad. With that said, I guess he decided to announce his retirement in one go to get it over with.
