Are you sure you watch the anime? |
Yeah, I was pretty sure at the end of the original she was shiny green with a pinkish inner bit and had wings. |
Sounds pretty sexy. I would like to meet this person. |
Super sexy, actually. |
Yeah, if you're into the whole anthropomorphic translucent amphibian fairy thing. |
Totally made my day.

Geez, it's like I'm the only one who remembers this once-glorious thread.
Well, let's make it glorious yet again.
Try this post in the Summer 2012 Preview Thread:

- embarrassment - I'd want to hide
- concern about my friend |
Not that the topic of conversation was, er... innocent per se, but this just became one of those walking-into-the-middle-of-a-conversation-that-sounds-dirtier-than-what-it-is situations for me. And I'm like, "Wait, shit, there was an anime episode from this season that started out like that? And they were able to put it on tv? Are we discussing a hentai here?"
I'm certain my facial expressions were quite hilarious.
And then I came upon this line:
errinundra wrote: | - a desire to find my original body |
WHUUUUUUUU-??
And then I read the rest of your post and I realized what was actually being discussed. Thank God. |
Tell me I wasn't the only one who laughed at that.

More like it's been that long since it was needed.
It's been pretty difficult, of late, to pull any enjoyment from the Talkback thread.

Kind of surprised no one posted this one from earlier in the talkback for the preview guide(bottom of the page):

This is potentially legendary. I literally flew backwards in my chair when I read that! Wow!

This was taken from the Sword Art Online thread in Anime. I think someone takes their anime a wee bit too seriously, or was ganked one too many times in WoW.
Quote: | This is a sick and twisted story and I urge any who have values and care about decent standards in Anime to avoid it. It glorifies exploitation and cruel abuse of innocent players and makes it seem ok for such an event to have happened. Yes there is a struggle to escape but the principle is about making an anime that focuses on a terrible and really awful man who uses his power over people to feed his own twisted desire for causing hurt and pain. I have no desire to see such invade anime any more than it already has, and i do not think such disgusting series should be rewarded with notice. I am very sad to see that such sick and twisted stories are being made into anime, with all the effort and time and energy that that takes, for it takes away from what could be decent and fun series. This is a sad day for anime but I am hopeful that sensitive people will speak out, and I plan to protest this to the company and to any forum that can reach decent anime lovers. |

Is it pretentious to quote yourself? Oh well!

Well I'm sold |

Pretty sneaky, sis! Which, coincidentally, is the premise of Nakaimo. |
I really enjoyed this one.

From the same thread as the quote that ikillchicken posted:
VORTIA wrote: | Dude, relax. Nakaimo getting licensed isn't going to infect you with communicable imotocon disease because it comes out of the same factory as your other DVDs. |
I thought it was funny, even if few others did.

I thought that this was an excellent rejoinder to the idea that a dashing, womanizing spy is much like somebody who makes women involuntarily urinate out the goodness of his heart.

Yep, this definitely belongs here:

I feel strongly that this post from the Fall 2012 Preview Guide discussion thread should be preserved for future reference and the edification of posterity.

I think I'm ready.
Shall I start by getting the obvious ones out of the way?
I can't wait for Zac to review XXXbooblolibaitshow#999!
Will Zac be reviewing CanIBoneMyImouto-chan?
Reminder #6232: Typically Zac only reviews things that either the rest of us haven't gotten to yet or that really catch his attention.
You can't trust Zac's previews anyways. Look at the grade he gave the Madoka Magica preview! LE GASP! Travesty!
Herpderp, ANN reviewers suck. They're all one hive mind anyways.
GAWD, WHATEVER HAPPENED TO OBJECTIVE REVIEWS!
Reviews are meant to be subjective, moron.
Suck my [censored words can't be repeated in polite company].
I am personally deeply offended by "blahblahblah" that Zac said. Y'know, just because I like---
A creeper is a creeper. We calls it likes we sees it.
Haha, sucks to be you. This shows is projected to sell #### units. Look at these pre-order numbers.
Hmm... am I missing any? |
Seriously, willag is to awesome what the 1% are to the income tax.

Holy shit, I never realized the purpose of this thread. I thought it was quotes for anime series.
Holy shit, I've been quoted in this thread.
....
*Gai-sensei manly tears of happiness streaming down my face* I can now die feeling I've made a difference in this world.
Hey, was that one post by someone imitating Blood- included in here? Something about "revving up my motorboat to go swan diving into some girl's boobs" sort of thing?
Damnit, now I'm going to have to go look for it.
ANNNNNNND IT WAS!
Whew, crisis averted.
