She is too young to be in this and all her music also shows this. Miku Hatsunes innocence has to be protected so she doesn't become another piece of trash that often happens to entertainers. What we hold up as her image which lets us listen to her music could be destroyed and she might be discarded from future thought and product purchases by those of us who were happy that she didn't use her body as the method of selling herself and her singing career. Don't do it Miku!

That's how she was designed in the first place! She's supposed to be sexy.

Nah, it'll get them to realize that real-life women would never compare to anime chicks.

Japan's Weekly Playboy is more like America's Maxim magazine.
Japan's Monthly Playboy is more close to the Playboy most people have in their minds at the moment.

I'm sure someone has made it for the internet... and for the low low price of free.
Then again, it's still kind of interesting. Besides Marge Simpson, how many other Playboy models have been animated/cartoonized or the like?

Do real boobies scare otakus? I've always wondered about this.

Since Maxim was brought up and it's claimed it'll be that sort of "photo shoot" I recall the main female lead from Final Fantasy: Spirits Within being featured in Maxim's top 100 once.

And their imperfections?
Anime bodies are like idealized counterparts.

I've always been of the opinion that real women scare otaku, and not because they have real fleshy bits, but because they have a real ability to do emotional harm.

Which was what, 20 years too late? |
October '09? |
First appearance was in 1987(Ullman)/1989(FOX series), so yeah, 20+ years too little, too late.
Given how much porn is out there of The Simpsons even before the Playboy spread, it was too little, too late. Hell, even those "Video Game Specials" Playboy had often had characters from either recent (less than a couple of years)a/or upcoming games. The entire idea was just a waste of time (much like Playboy in general nowadays). |
I don't really think any subscriber was thinking to themselves, "This is great but when is Marge getting a spread?"
I get the point, but it was more of "Hey, this is something knew" rather than "Well, it's about time."
I know nothing of Playboy politics so I'm a bit left in the dark. Marge was the first thing that popped in my head when I heard Miku.
